The poet Antonio Aguilar knew that he wanted to be a poet from a very young age, that feeling towards poetry came naturally to his life, something intuitive that was in his destiny and was part of him. He firmly believes in the transforming power of poetry, for him it is a way of inhabiting the world and where he can seek the authenticity of everyday life because "life itself is a great adventure."

Passionate about the world of letters, he enjoys the spontaneity and naturalness of his surroundings to surprise himself by rediscovering, for example, music ... the deep green glow of his eyes reveals his curiosity, his desire to live in the moment, his gratitude for so much to his family and friends that he says that: "life has given me the friends that I have needed in life."

Antonio Aguilar states that: "poetry, with the humblest thing that words are, can generate storms" for it from his Blog:  "Little Box of Rain" It does own this space for reflection, to stop, start ... .but mostly to share words of others, a blog that talks a lot about it but without using the words of this great poet who lives a special moment when you age It allows you free and write more freely.

Where did you come to write?

I have felt like a writer since I was little. I always said: "I want to be an engineer and a poet - I said to myself - being an engineer sounds important and being a poet comes from a vocation of always".

My grandparents have greatly influenced me, both my grandfather Pedro with his trobos, and my grandfather Antonio, perhaps the latter linked to the world of letters since, in addition to spending his whole life working when he retired, he wrote a handwritten novel that I have I was lucky enough to be able to transcribe to a computer “… .. he always instilled in me that love for the world of letters, we shared that curiosity, those endless hours of conversation.

Your first poetry ...

In 3rd or 4th year of EGB I wrote some poems of the months with the aim of compiling them as a book because my father was a printer and regional editor at his publisher, so we have always been lucky to live in a world of words, surrounded by books and enjoying the world of literature with collections that my father jealously guarded such as: the Complete Works of Blasco Ibañez and the Anthology of poetry by Miguel Hernández.

A memory of your childhood ...

As a child I read Miguel Hernández, I remember that I did not understand it but that poet caught my attention, I felt identified with it, it was comfortable for me.

The poetry…

It has a transforming power ... poetry is a way of inhabiting the world, do not know what it is, but I'm a poet. Poetry is the way to express my affection for others, to project my love and more natural way to externalize my affection.

Your book Night of Fire

The night of the fire is an everyday place in a city, invites you to turn the ordinary into the adventure of the here and now, accept this uncertainty: the night of the fire of adventure that is life. It is an alternative, personal book, to explore extraordinary life itself is a great adventure time.

A personal dream

Dream fulfilled the power to be in the Book Fair of Madrid, as a poet would make me very happy that the book would work at close range the book is alive because others come to him and give life ... I would love to reach an audience not necessarily literary, for me a lucky night of the fire stop not come to life more and more people come to this poetry and this book.
